Allah Speaks about Darkness in Outer Space

In the Name of Allah, The Most Gracious, Most Merciful
What does this truth refer to?
One day, an astronomer was paying a visit to one of the spacecraft launching stations, which was in constant contact with a space ship that had just been launched into space, in one of the developed countries, when he suddenly heard the astronaut of the spaceship exclaim: “We have become completely blind! We can see nothing!” The ship had been launched in the bright day light, but after a short time, it had crossed the Earth’s atmosphere into outer space, where it was suddenly in total darkness. But what happened so as to make the astronaut exclaim: “We have become completely blind! We can see nothing!”?!

The thing that happened was this:
When sunrays reach the Earth’s atmosphere, their light scatters by means of molecules of air and particles of sand. This is called “diffusion of light”. Sunlight is reflected on particles of sand and molecules of air, which makes them bright. In other words, on the Earth there are places that receive sunrays and sh3er that receive sunlight. In the mosque here, for example, during daytime, there is sunlight but no sunrays; and we can see one another. Because of diffusion of light in the Earth’s atmosphere we can see one another during daytime even in the absence of direct sunrays. In outer space such phenomenon does not exist; and when the spaceship got out of the Earth’s atmosphere, it was in total darkness, where nothing could be seen except spots of light here and there.
Now, if we go to Allah’s Book, the Holy Quran, which was revealed more than fourteen centuries ago, when mankind did not have any spaceships to invade space, neither did they go out of the Earth’s atmosphere, as they now do, we shall find a scientifically miraculous Verse therein.
Allah, All-Mighty, says,
“And even if We opened to them a gate from the heaven and they were to keep on ascending through it (into the heaven), they would say, ‘Our eyes have been dazzled! Nay, we are a people bewitched!’”
[XV; 14,15]
This is exactly what the above-mentioned astronaut said:
“We have become completely blind! We can see nothing!” He uttered the same words mentioned in the Holy Quran, which was sent down fourteen centuries ago. Isn’t this an indisputable fact that the Holy Quran is undoubtedly the Book of Allah, Creator of mankind. Such fact was discovered only ten years ago, when mankind knew the Earth’s atmosphere and invaded it. And when, later on, astronauts entered into total darkness in outer space, mankind got to know that in outer space there is total darkness because of the lack of such a phenomenon as “diffusion of light”, which exists only in the Earth’s atmosphere. Once again, we repeat Allah’s Words in this regard:
“And even if We opened to them a gate from the heaven and they were to keep on ascending through it (into the heaven), they would say, ‘Our eyes have been dazzled! Nay, we are a people bewitched!’”
[XV; 14,15]
Some of the characteristics of the Divine Revelation:
Divine Revelation that was sent down to the Messenger of Allah, (PBUH), is characterized by the fact that its evidence is taken from itself and that such evidence conforms to its subject-matter. This is because Divine Revelation that Allah’s Messenger, (PBUH), communicated is indisputably from Allah, as clearly manifested by a glaring phenomenon, namely miraculousness, since the facts confirmed by such Divine Words were absolutely unknown to mankind at the time when the Holy Quran was revealed; and now, with the advance of science and technology, some of such facts have been discovered.
This fact is reiterated by Allah’s Words:
“We shall show them Our Signs in the horizons and in their own selves until it becomes manifest to them that this (the Quran) is the truth. Is it not sufficient in regard to your Lord that He is a Witness over all things.”
[XLI; 53]
The use of the future tense in the above Verses denotes clearly that as time passes, more and more scientific miracles will be unveiled in the Holy Quran so that deniers, disbelievers and doubtful people see that the Holy Quran is indeed Allah’s Book.
Nothing in life deserves to be understood as much as Allah’s Book, together with its denotations and connotations, its legislations and commandments, things that it considers as lawful or unlawful, its promises and threats, and its cosmic and creative Signs, for it is the way to our happiness and guidance.
